I have been tagged with a meme. Don't worry, it isn't life threatening. Although, I might bore you to death.
Shelly from Writing With Shelly, has tagged me with some questions. If you haven't been to Shelly's blog, you've been missing out. She's talented and funny, with a lot of useful information for writers.
Alright, just when you thought this blog couldn't be more random . . . here are my answers to the meme quiz:
Show us the cutest, most adorable picture of your favorite animal:
I'm a sucker for an animal that can pick things up with its nose.
You have five seconds to survive the zombie apocalypse. Choose one friend who would save your butt and then tell us why you chose them.
Jack Bauer. I know that's cheating because he's not my friend, he's a fictional character, and Zombies aren't terrorists, but I'm pretty sure the torture method would be the same. Besides, Jack Bauer would have the problem solved in 24 hrs.
Share a quote with us:
"One cannot consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar."
Helen Keller
Using exactly twenty seven words, tell your life story:
Born and raised in Utah, love to paint and write, went to college, married my best friend, moved to Idaho, had some kids, now live in California.
All dead rock legends live again. You’re standing in a fifty mile long line for:
Yeah . . . I really hate long lines. Fifty miles? I would probably start a zombie apocalypse just for being forced to wait in a fifty mile long line. I do love The Beatles, though.
Describe yourself using six words that start with the third letter of your middle name. Go!:
Sadly, I have no middle name. I guess I'll have to use my maiden name.
lovable, lucky, lunatic, late, lively, loyal,
What do you think of when you hear the word wombat?
Half woman/ half bat, gets really cranky once a month, and eats chocolate to survive. Oh, and those cute furry marsupials.
Hi Missi,
ReplyDeleteI'm a fellow campaigner and am enjoying your blog.
I love the quote there.
ReplyDeleteGotta love the Jack Bauer Power Hour. Solid choice there. To reference another fictional character who'd be useful in the Zombie Apocalypse, have you noticed Jack Bauer is the MacGuyver of torture? Jack can torture anyone with two paper clips, a phone wire and a cup of water!
ReplyDeleteHi Bridget! Welcome to my blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah!
Anonymeet, nicely put. Jack Bauer is the MacGuyver of torture. Superman wears Jack Bauer pajamas to bed. (0;
Cute elephant! I didn't know elephants could look so cute. I also like the quote.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun meme, hehe!
ReplyDeleteOh my word! You are so clever and funny! What great answers!
ReplyDeleteI'm your fellow campaigner in the Women's Fiction/Chicklit group and I'm so glad cuz you're awesome!
My first book is Women's Fiction - maybe, I don't know - I'm having extreme trouble figuring out just where it belongs! Why didn't I write my first book in an exact genre!
Hi Brenda!
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Melissa! When I read your quote I thought of creep in the modern sense and it made me giggle.
Jack Bauer. Why didn't I think of him?
Thanks Kirsten!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristen!
Hi Brenda! *waves* Yay! I'm excited you're in my group. It's nice to see a familiar face. Don't worry I'm a little confused with my genre too. I also signed up for YA and I still have no clue what I'm doing.
Shelly, Just remember, you should never consent to be a creep (0:
Aw! I love elephants too. New follower and fellow campaigner, lovely to meet you :)
ReplyDeleteawwww...whatta cute elephant! Pleasure to meet you Missi. Saying hello from the campaign;)
ReplyDeleteHi Missi, Visiting from the Campaign - Women's Fiction group. So nice to meet you! Whimsical writing is spot-on. This post made me smile, and your font matches your wonderful sense of humor. I look forward to reading more!
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm a fellow Campaigner, and your blog gave me a big smile! The font really captures the feel of the blog, too.
ReplyDeleteI wish you good luck in the Campaign!
Jack Bauer and The Beatles are great choices.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fellow campaigner and new follower from group 11. I love the look of your blog.
Take care.
I enjoyed getting to know you. I stopped by to say Hi from your Womens Fiction/Chick Lit campaign group, so it was great to see your responses and learn more about you.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more... I'd want Jack Bauer by my side, too!
I look forward to connecting during the campaign.
Zombie apocalypse? I was thinking Jack Bauer too! :P
ReplyDeleteI would totally be in line with you for the Beatles. Unless there was also a line for Mozart. (He was the local equivalent of a rock legend, right?)
ReplyDeleteChristine, Christy, Katie, Nadine, Medeia, and Tia *waves* nice to meet you! I'm excited to campaign with you. I can't wait to visit your blogs!
ReplyDeleteLindy, great minds think alike!
Su, welcome to my blog! Mozart is always a rock legend in my mind.
This was fun to read. I liked getting to know more about you. So here's what we have in common. I was also born and raised in Utah and eventually moved to Idaho. But now I live in Oregon.
ReplyDeleteI would NEVER stand in a 50 mile line for anything (not even sour patch kids and that's saying a lot).
And I didn't have a middle name either until I got married and my maiden name took that place.
Great post!
Hi Missi, so much fun getting to know these little things about you. I'm a new follower and fellow campaigner here. Will be stalking back soon:)
ReplyDeleteHello, Missi! Visiting campaigner from group 8. So nice to meet you!

ReplyDeletewhat a fun quiz. Love the answers.
ReplyDeleteRemember when you used to write in this blog? It's beginning to remind me of Brady's blog.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin'
;)
Shelly,
ReplyDeleteLol! You're right. I'm having a hard time coming up with anything to write about. I think I have a major case of writer's block. Same thing with my novel :(
Wow, you are very interesting and creative. I love your answers. I also have to agree that I wouldn't stand in a fifty mile line for any other than the Beetles. Awesome Blog.
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower & I am delighted to meet you.
Melissa- Thanks for stopping by my blog. Nice to meet you!
